If you’re a fan of the classics, then 1917 The Alien Invasion DX is for you. Developed by Andrade-Games, an indie developer based in Heidelberg, Germany and published by OtakuMaker.com1917 The Alien Invasion DX is a fast paced game available to download via Steam. Your only objective is to win.

You play as Dr. Bruhild Stahlmüller, a female scientist fighting for one last stand against the alien invaders. The game gives you two ships to chose from – the slow and dangerous option or the plane with alien technology.

With three options to use, e.g. hand held controller, keyboard, joy stick, or mouse and keyboard, maneuver to survive as you fight your way through waves of enemies. Equip with retro music in the background perfect for shooting aliens -power ups, shields, and combos, players will have a lot of fun in the kill or be kill environment.

But it’s not smooth sailing for the start. One mistake, can cost you. However, with each death, the chances of success increases. The game follows the same pattern. It’s trial and error right from the start.

With eight stages to play through, victory won’t come easy. Players must defeat each stage before proceeding. Those with exceptional hand – eye coordination will excel than those who don’t. However, with practice and patience, it’s possible.

The graphics are pixellated much like Minecraft, Terraria, and the classic, Galactica. But when your shooting aliens, none of that matters. It’s a fun and colorful game that makes time fly by. A word of caution, however, the game tends to bombard players with lights and colors so playing for a long time is somewhat straining to the eyes.

If that doesn’t stop you, then you’re in for some wild game time with this great indie title from Andrade-Games & OtakuMaker.
