Day 13 – Dumb Ways to Die 2

Dumb Ways to Die 2 is a brilliantly thought out and hilariously funny game (with a serious message). It reminds me of the impossible quiz way back when. You have seconds to react to challenges before your character horrendously dies, but the animations and mini games are hilarious. The concept incorporates a genius use of taping, tilting and swiping. For me the downside is the is how the same mini games are repeated over and over. As you start to get better, they do up the ante, but at what point do the same levels get boring? Annoyingly there are 30 second ads after three consecutive deaths. It’s also the same advert every time. Overall, it was definitely something I can see myself  playing more of, and even challenging friends to.

Editors Note: Dumb Ways to Die, the world’s most shared public service announcement, hit the internet in November 2012. The public service announcement campaign was launched by Metro Trains Melbourne to promote rail safety. The safety campaign video went viral through YouTube, quickly being sharing all over the world.

Dumb Ways to Die was the most awarded campaign in the history of Cannes (with 28 Lions, including five Grands Prix). With over 127 million people having stated that they would be safer around trains because of the campaign, Dumb Ways to Die, continues to hold kids and adults under its spell.

The Games now has over 75 million downloads and 1.2 billion unique plays coming from every country in the world.
