Day 59 – Motoheroz

Motoheroz has been developed by RedLynx. You may have heard of them… the creators of DrawRace 2 and… you know, that game that EVERYONE loved; Trials HD! Published by Ubisoft, Motoheroz is the #1 mobile racing game in 76 countries around the world. Not bad, not bad at all.

On first impressions the game looked just like another 2D Side Runner, but the more I played, the more complex the it actually turned out to be. When playing offline you are against a ghost rider and must beat them, when online you compete against other players recorded times to complete stages.

Aside from just accelerating and manoeuvring effectively, there are levels where you must drive backwards, execute jumps, use items and powerups to fly across the screen, brake through walls and much more. The game had a beautiful complexity I’ve not seen in other similar games that fall into the same category.

That said, I was disappointed to find that there were several bugs in the game, specifically on certain levels. As well as freezing, the game simply did not open on numerous occasions. I dug around the reviews left on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and it seems I am not the only one to encounter these. Overall though, Motoheroz is great fun to play, well worth downloading and giving a go.
