Day 85 – Can You Escape – Adventure

The Can You Escape saga continues with the grand adventure and the aptly named Can You Escape – Adventure. Your mission is to test your escaping skills at different locations by solving amazing puzzles and using all the objects around you to advance to the next stages. Do you accept this challenge? Let’s find out if you have what it takes to complete this free, fun and popular adventure game!

Ah, the escape genre, it sends a chill down my spine. Being as I wasn’t particularly fond of these games since I first played them, the underwhelming World Escape I also recently reviewed only added to my doubts. Coming into this with low expectations, I truly just wanted to get this one out of the way to be honest.

How wrong I was. This game was actually so much easier than the last one, and while it was challenging at times, there was some actual gratification in being able to eventually do that one thing these games always promise: escape. Yes, it is surprisingly possible. The mechanics are exactly the same as all escape games and the game plays exactly as expected with nothing too innovative; however I would say combining and using items is a lot easier in this game compared to others I have played.

The graphics are good, with unique designs for each area and the soundtrack is decent. There are lots of rooms to play through so content is no issue here, the gameplay is simple but effective, and there can be some fun in different locks and puzzles. I would say this game is not re-playable as there really would be no reason to escape the same room again, unless to beat your time, however this does not appeal to me.
