Day 88 – Dragon Marble Crusher

Marbles of different colors will roll down a spiral path towards a central goal and it is your job to stop them. Guide your magic dragons to shoot new marbles into the oncoming ones and the marbles will disappear if three or more marbles of the same color are matched. Enjoy every minute of this blockbuster puzzler; Dragon Marble Crusher!

Nostalgia sells. And for me, this game brings a unique nostalgia; it is distinctly similar to one of my favourite childhood games, Luxor. While you may not have heard of it, something about the frenzy of ball shooting excited me, and while it was a tough and challenging game, it was still a ton of fun.

Dragon Marble Crusher

Dragon Marble Crusher has a name that sounds a bit crazy, and the game is exactly that. This would just be an average mobile strategy game, were it not for one things: dragons. The abilities that they bring make the game so much more fun and offer a helping hand in dire times. At that final stretch, the balls are about to reach the end of the track, when the DMC (cool acronym too) gods gift you with a devastating thunderbolt which can alter the game’s course in mere moments. The design is also fun, with many maps being based on medieval themes, as expected when dragons are involved.

The graphics are decent enough to make this game slightly appealing, however they aren’t too eye-catching and the soundtrack is similarly average to the same effect. There also isn’t too much to do here which is one complaint I have; one nice touch however is the daily challenge which provides a tough course with a big reward, and is equally beneficial and hard for beginners. The gameplay itself is perfect and achieves exactly what it sets out to (except some unresponsiveness to touches occasionally), and the aiming system is especially helpful. The large number of levels gives you a lot to play through, so there are no issues with replayability here.
