Forget the candy, it’s time for fruit and berries.

If you’re looking for a game to pass the time or have a bit of free time on your hands then, look no further. Horsechestnut’s Conkers is the game for you. Help Horsechestnut maintain OakBerry Wood by collecting fruit and berries. The game is played over many levels with each level increasing in difficulty and requirement to pass the level.

Instead of tapping on the screen like the popular Bejeweled or Candy Crush, Horsechestnut’s Conkers requires you to ‘sling’ conkers at the hovering fruit but watch out for those hard nuts. For those of you familiar with Angry Birds, this should be no problem. Keep in mind that your conkers can take only so much damage before they break.

There are different requirements to each level. Not only do you have to fill out the jar with jam, you must also collect the specific fruit with the amount and fruit varying from level to level. With tips included to help you, you’ll be cruising through the levels in no time.

As you play, you get to listen to smoothing yet, upbeat music with added sound effects as you collect fruit and berries. The graphics are rather simplistic but, for this game, high-end graphics aren’t needed. They don’t distract from the game.

The game can be a little tricky at first but it is frustrating and fun game to play.

On the downside, some of the animations lag on some occasion and the levels aren’t re-playable. One other fact is that the game doesn’t rotate long with your phone and only has a set position. With continuous gameplay, the game does drain your battery life.

Overall, Horsechestnut’s Conkers is an addictive game. While it is a bit frustrating and tricky, once you get the hang of it, you won’t be able to stop. I don’t see myself stopping any time soon.
