Trilight Visions

Trilight Visions is one man indie studio setup by Daniel Kosig. Having spent a number of years creating music videos, advertisements and short films, a recent shift in focus has seen Daniel start developing mobile games. Witty Ways, Trilight Visions first release, is out now for Android.

Trilight Visions

Witty Ways is a competitive puzzler for Android devices that combines the rubiks-cube-like challenge of moving coloured elements into the right positions with the shape-popping fun of a casual matching game.

The game offers you 200 addictive puzzles and a nearly infinite number of ways to solve them. Sounds easy? Well, it becomes surprisingly tricky really soon. There’s a wide variety of level layouts and additional obstacles introduced over time will truly test your wits. Players can compare the number of turns it took them to solve a set of puzzles with the results of other players all over the world. Are you the smartest player around? Play the game and find out!

Trilight Visions

Witty Ways will keep you engaged, whether you‘re a puzzle novice or a true logic ninja! Key features include;

  • 200 tricky puzzles in 18 categories
  • Find your very own way of solving each level
  • Compete with other players via Google Play Games
  • Additional obstacles introduced over time will challenge even the smartest players

Q&A with Daniel Kosig

What was the inspiration behind Witty Ways?
Probably my own love for challenging puzzle games and challenging games in general.
How long was Witty Ways in development for?
That’s a little hard to tell, as Witty Ways is my first released game. There was a lot of time spent learning programming first. The game itself probably took me a few months.
How did you get started making indie games?
I created music videos, advertisements and short films for years before shifting my focus towards the development of mobile games. Creating games had always been a childhood dream for me – so I guess sooner or later it just had to happen!
Trilight Visions
I started coding three years ago. Since then I created several prototypes of different genres and tried to gain insight in all the different aspects of making a game. Creating graphics has been part of my work since I started making films.
What is your current favourite game on mobile?
Currently I am playing “0h n0” by Q42
What was your favourite game growing up?
Everything from Nintendo – especially Mario and Zelda.
What’s your idea of an ideal lunch time meal?
I love Italian food!!
What do you think are the biggest challenges today facing the mobile gaming sector?
Since Witty Ways is my first game, I didn’t experience the situation a few years ago – but obviously the sheer volume of games on Google Play and the App Store has increased so much, that it has become a lot harder to gain some visibility at all.

If you had the opportunity to rewind the clock and/or change the past to be involved in one mobile game already released, what game would it be?
Hmmm… Plants vs Zombies maybe?
What’s the future looking like for you after this project, are their games waiting to be started?
Definitely. I think the next game will be more action oriented but it’s still a little too early to sure, as making the release of Witty Ways known to the public is occupating my whole time at the moment.
What social media channel if your preferred? Can you please provide a link we can find you on?
You can find Trilight Visions on Facebook and Twitter. The website is a work in progress, but can be found here
Please take a look at Witty Ways – I really think it’s a fresh take on the puzzle genre!!
